KILL THE FEAR

-The life stream never ending, Through the spiral of love, One dream of creation, Now ways to be roamed, The light falls away, The prayer I need to say, To live by a day…- Kill the fear, kill the f… fear kill it… I wanna love you, Is it making sense? Give me a reason, Why should I confess, Nobody’s perfect, Just give us a chance, Kill the fear, kill the f… fear kill it…

BETTING ON MY FATE

On a dusty road where the trees are bare I was making my way wind was blowing my hear And I was running betting on my fate All the stars were black and the night was dark But I didn’t care about leaving my mark I was running betting on my fate And I see the distant lights And the sun has passed me by And I feel my shadow rise And I was running betting on my fate And you might never know Where the hell you should go But you better be quick can’t afford to be slow Cause you’re running betting on your fate You get to the end it’s not what you expect But you don’t turn around you look straight ahead And you’re running betting on your fate And you see the distant lights And the sun has passed you by And you feel your shadow rise And you’re running betting on your fate

LOST IN JERUSALEM

Scripts on the columns are saved through the ages Cities are buried under the sands Servants of idols are keeping the pace Across scorching desert to a challenging place There’s eye in the sky all-seeing eye Over your aims and over your life Is it eternal? Or it all comes to the end? You have to believe to be let through the gate Past turns to presence and present is real An unstoppable engine is turning the wheel There’s eye in the sky all-seeing eye Over your aims and over your life

Monkey Blues

Here is a man in a suit and tie Gulping another vodka, talking ‘bout rights He’s got the dough and a bunch of lies He’s sure enough of fake alibies Here comes a woman on high heels She looks to make a buck off of thrill Pursuing clientele around Yonder one among the drunken crowd Meeting up-close at the inn, They commit each other to sin When she's up, he stays below Dust blows in between the show Hey when you got nothing to lose Hey when you got nothing to choose You do your monkey blues There's a concierge at the change of shift Sees her ex-boss with hot leggy chick Taking pictures through the peephole Loads them up on a women’s blog The news goes viral in no time Ex-boss’s wife’s left with teary eyes This wife for long was fond of neighbor Bill So revenge was planned at ease It took her day or maybe two At last the neighbor got the clue They caught their glances one more time It was enough to roll’em dice Hey when you got nothing to lose Hey when you got nothing to choose You do your monkey blues Hey when you got nothing to lose Hey when you got nothing to choose You do your monkey blues This husband guy in a suit and tie Is back in town by dawn’s early light Presses the button th’doorbell rings Somepin’ ain’t right neighbor Bill feels The spell is rising looks as a beast Sick and horrorous is life’s next plot twist She spots at sudden blazing quick sweep As the kitchen knife gets in between her tits A cry for help in awaking dawn A call is mad the cops are prompt Case gets closed, the guy is seized Still has the right to make an appeal Hey when you got nothing to lose Hey when you got nothing to choose You do your monkey blues Hey when you got nothing to lose Hey when you got nothing to choose You do your monkey blues

LOVE TO RESET

Love to reset Would love to reset It ain’t easy for love to reset It ain’t easy for love to reset I would love to reset… Every conversation’s going up and down There’s no inspiration when you’re shouting loud The sun is up and rising ain’t no need to hide I need you and you need me tonight Want to please me I need a love to reset Love to reset Every conversation’s going up and down There’s no inspiration when you’re shouting loud The sun is up and rising I need you and you need me tonight Want to please me I need a love to reset Love to reset

AUTUMN RAIN

Autumn rain never stops Tiring pain of wandering souls Day and night In the park of lonely strangers Fallen leaves Of yellow and brown Like a thousand moons Are blown around Just like our lives In the park of lonely strangers Restless clouds in the sky Passing by so low and high I can feel this world of mine Needs to be mended And I’m hearing your voice Through my window I’m sensing this love in my veins I wanna believe that this magic Keeps me awake The air’s so crisp a chilling breeze They’re bringing back forgotten dreams And disappear In the park of lonely strangers And I’m hearing your voice Through my window I’m sensing this love in my veins I wanna believe that this magic Keeps me awake Counting the stops on a midnight train Chasing your face in the crowd Somebody calls me I don’t take a phone I’m not around And I’m hearing the voice Through my window I’m sensing this love in my veins I wanna believe that this something Stays the same Autumn rain

SUN RISE

May be you’re another one Who tries to find the way to paradise May be you’re another one Who tries to find the way to paradise May be it’s another road which will Take towards the sunrise Maybe it’s another dream Which will guide us to a daylight Maybe there’s a reason why We’re not there to sacrifice Cant it be we’re used to lies And ignore what is right Every time you open your eyes You can see the dream is still there It’s gonna take you by surprise I’ll be there so take my hand It’s the way toward the sunrise It’s a dream that we hold It’s the way toward the sunrise It’s a dream that we hold May be you’re another one Who tries to find the way to paradise May be you’re another one Who tries to find the way to paradise Maybe there’s a reason why We can’t reach promised land Or maybe we’ve just crossed the line With no way of turning back It’s the way towards the sunriseIt’s a dream that we holdIt’s the way towards the sunriseIt’s a dream that we holdHold me a-ha hold me a-ha hold me

I WON’T LOOK BACK

How would you call it? Another story Where colors blur The rain is still pouring And life is going- New page has turned I, I won’t look back But I, I cannot forget Are you ready to make it? The picture’s unfolding Snow melts down Faces are fading Anticipate it – Take as it comes I, I won’t look back I, I won’t look back I, I cannot forget When we fly in the sky through the night going high in wide open space we may fall we may rise we may grow we may break like ocean ways tangled lines of life around appear so surreal I, I won’t look back I, I won’t look back I, I cannot forget But I, I won’t look back

MARBELLA

And every morning I feel this magic And every moment it feels so good The ice is melting and we surrender to love Yes, I can feel it indeed And every morning it’s like a new life Let’s leave the troubles behind I’ll ask the questions you’ll give the answers Darling I hope you don’t mind Baby one day it’ll all be gone Gone where the wind will blow One cloudy afternoon And every evening under the moonlight You will be holding my hand You’ll ask the questions I’ll give the answers We’ll leave our footprints in the sand Darling one day it’ll all be gone Gone where the wind would blow One cloudy afternoon Baby one day it’ll all be gone Gone where the wind will blow One cloudy afternoon…

AND YET…

All of a sudden When you feel that the dream is gone Something special’s gonna happen All of sudden When you feel there is no love Somebody’s knocking at your door I see lonely miles ahead And I know that empty days are coming But our love will last forever And our dream will stay alive And maybe sometime When these days seem long ago We can forgive all our troubles They say that the hard way Is a way to be reborn We have to follow down this road I see lonely miles ahead And I know that empty days are coming But our love will last forever And our dream will stay alive

The Story of Nash Albert

Please allow me to introduce myself…
I am originally from Georgia (the country), where folk songs are imbedded in our national consciousness. For me, the desire to sing is as natural as breathing air.
But it was the primal strains of rock ’n’ roll that I heard on records smuggled into the USSR that set my pulse racing, my heart pounding, and my head spinning. At 16 years old, I put together my first band, Salamandra, and as soon as travel restrictions were eased after the dissolution of the USSR, we flew to the USA.
Living in the USA was no bed of roses. In between occasional gigs, we dug the red clay of the State of Georgia for a living. Despite our struggles to survive, we matured as rock ‘n’ rollers in the USA, and I cherish every moment of the time that we spent there - yes, even the time when we blew our Atlantic records showcase (take me out for a whisky one night, and I might tell you about it).
Salamandra split in 1996. The rest of the band returned to Georgia, and I returned to Moscow. Back then, Russia was a hotbed of crime, but through, shall we say, a ‘business’ contact, I was offered a gig. The music scene was booming at the time, and shortly after, I put together a new band, Blast.
Blast enjoyed many years of success in Russia, and we played with a number of well-known artists through the years, including Blur, The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand. We played festivals across Europe, the UK, and even South Africa, and we gained airplay across a variety of radio stations, including the BBC. Despite this, something was missing for me.
After the break-up of Blast, I went solo in 2014. This journey brought me into the orbit of a new set of creative collaborators, from Ian McNabb to Tim Palmer. And it was on the course of this journey, that I recognised what was missing. The authenticity that I had found in the company of my original bandmates, along with the hunger and creativity that we forged in our 6 years together in the USA.
And so over time, contacts re-established, it came to pass that we reconvened. In Georgia. The land from which our hearts and souls flow. The land from which music is born in the air. Taking inspiration from the rugged, mountainous region we were in, we brought this album “& Yet” to life.
For me, this recording is the first time that I turned off all my internal blocks and barriers. Everything on this album is from the heart and soul. There are no filters.

This is me. Nash Albert.
